BT Sport logoTNT Sports is essentially the evolution of BT Sport, which operated from 2013 until its rebrand in 2023. The change came after Warner Bros. Discovery formed a joint venture with BT in 2022, eventually bringing together BT Sport and Eurosport content under one umbrella. In February 2025, Eurosport was absorbed by TNT Sports to create a more complete sporting package.

TNT Sports Channels

Watching football on TV

TNT Sports operates a multi-channel network designed to handle simultaneous live events. The main channels are:

  • TNT Sports 1
  • TNT Sports 2
  • TNT Sports 3
  • TNT Sports 4

Note that there is an HD version of all these channels.

As well as the four channels above, TNT Sports provides up to six extra ‘red button’ channels (TNT Sports 5 – 10) during particularly busy schedules. They might deploy these extra channels during the final league phase round of the Champions League, for example, when there are so many matches at the same time.

This covers all the regular TNT Sports channels, but there are two extras, one being TNT Sports Ultimate. This premium channel offers 4K Ultra HD resolution streams and enhanced audio for selected live events. Note that events are never exclusive to TNT Sports Ultimate and will always be on one of the regular TNT Sports channels as well.

The final channel is TNT Sports Box Office. This is for pay-per-view events, typically boxing or MMA. Content on this channel is not included in a regular subscription and comes with a one-off fee each time.

Here is an overview of the sports that TNT covers across their channels.

Football

In 2026, subscribers can watch a wide range football matches from the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the Women’s FA Cup. Coverage also includes European competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Europa Conference League.

It is worth noting, however, that from the 2027/28 season TNT’s football coverage will look considerably different. Paramount won the rights to show Champions League matches in the UK starting in 2027, while Sky bagged exclusive rights for Europa League and Conference League action beginning in the same season. Paramount are hoping to buy Warner Bros, the parent company of TNT Sports, so if approved, Champions League action could remain on TNT in one form or another.

Coverage of the Premier League, meanwhile, is secured by TNT Sports through to the end of the 2028/29 season, with the broadcaster showing 52 matches per campaign. However, this is significantly fewer matches than Sky Sports, which holds the rights to air at least 215 Premier League games each season until 2029.

Football coverage features a mix of former players and experienced broadcasters. Presenters such as Laura Woods, Reshmin Chowdhury and Lynsey Hipgrave lead coverage, while punditry is provided by well-known ex-professionals including Rio Ferdinand, Peter Crouch, Owen Hargreaves, Joe Cole and Karen Carney. Commentary is typically delivered by voices like Darren Fletcher, Glenn Hoddle and the popular Ally McCoist, alongside co-commentators such as Lucy Ward.

Other Sports

Rugby fans can follow every game from the Gallagher Premiership Rugby alongside fixtures from Premiership Women’s Rugby. The TNT schedule also features extensive cycling coverage, with over 1,000 live broadcasts annually, including every stage of the Tour de France.

Tennis is well represented on TNT Sports too, with full coverage of the Australian Open and French Open. Motorsport fans, meanwhile, can watch every race from MotoGP, Superbike World Championship, and British Superbike Championship.

In addition, coverage includes the World Snooker Tour, the full winter sports calendar, Speedway Grand Prix, and major global events such as the 2028 Summer Olympics, along with much more throughout the year.

There really is a huge breadth of coverage as TNT Sport aim to appeal to as many viewers as possible. On top of all the sports mentioned above, viewers can access the likes of baseball, UFC, winter sports, Australian Football, cricket, pool, fencing, fishing and LIV golf. Coverage runs 24/7, showing either live action, highlights or discussion from experts.

TNT Sports is widely available across the UK through multiple platforms:

TV Providers

You can access TNT Sports via:

  • EE TV (formerly BT)
  • Virgin Media
  • Sky

The standard rate for the regular TNT sports package is £25 per month, rising to £27 in 2027. This is the going rate across providers, but it may be possible to get a discount if bundled with other packages, or if you speak directly to your provider. Unlocking the full 1080p HD channels costs an extra £6 per month as standard.

Streaming Platforms

Previously, TNT Sports was streamed through Discovery+, but on 26 March 2026, this arrangement stopped as TNT moved to HBO Max. To access TNT Sports through HBO, users can pay £30.99 a month on a rolling one-month contract. Through this package, subscribers can stream on up to two devices at once and will have full HD access. This makes it the same cost as signing up through a TV package (£25 + £6 for HD), but without a long-term contract.

Saver plans exist which allow users to combine HBO Max standard (usually £9.99) with TNT Sports at a discounted rate, if committing to a whole year. Users can get HBO Max standard with ads + TNT Sports for £27.99 a month, or £30.99 without ads.
